DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

Farm to Fork cooking class: care, biodiversity and the story of a long-generation family

Farm to Fork at an Agriturismo overlooking one the most stunning valleys in Bologna hills is a true project of cooking with local seasonal ingredients, but also – let us emphasize – an experience focused on what care means, that special care everyone deserves especially nowadays when time seems so fast.

If one loves his/her job, guests will perceive it immediately. This cooking class is fun, informative as part of our storytelling concept. It reflects the story of a family, a project to raise consciousness on biodiversity and the crucial importance of caring about guests and making them feel like family, just like we do in all our Artisanal Food Tours.

A personal approach. A deep insight on local culture.

Eating local with seasonal food is the core of the experience. We’ll pick herbs, vegs and all that we need from the vegetable garden and the farm to cook based on what nature can give us. Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter; every season gives us the opportunity to respect nature and create food culture.

This Farm to Table Cooking Class will also take us back in time.

We’ll learn about rural life, perceive the story of a family, represented by every single piece of vintage furniture or tool, picture, photo, inside or outside a Medieval block of ancient rural houses patiently restored to offer you an experience between past and present, where people’s soul is what matters the most.

Never too serious… this is a funny family-friendly experience

Your Italian home, in a word.
An easygoing experience to show that cooking can be easy with few ingredients free (or almost free) of preservatives.

During the cooking part, we will dance with Italian soundtracks from the 1960s’ and 1970s’ – the evergreen popular songs that every Italian loves and make you feel in Italy.

Did you know that?
“La sfoglia deve essere così sottile da vedere San Luca?”

The rolled dough should be thin enough to to see the Basilica della Beata Vergine di San Luca church in Colle della Guardia…

One of the popular local idioms we’ll tell you about.  Join our big family at Emilia Storytellers!
